Starlight and roses with Molly Anna

The white part of the doily is a vintage doily and I made it a few years ago and gave to Kathy. I added Vintage Purple roses to it in the same manner as roses are added to Jacobsen Roses. I decided to make a doily for myself and I shared the roughly written technique with Cylinda Mathews of Crochet Memories. She wrote it up and it is posted on her site.

Rose Garden

Just finished this. It is a pattern by Kathryn White and is published in Old Fashioned Doilies. I used a size 10 hook and size 30 thread. I starched and will be taking it to the SD State Fair. I like the pattern so well, I am going to make it in size 10 thread. I will make Vintage Purple, lavendar, mauve and burgundy for the roses and ecru for the base. I already have the center rose made of Vingate Purple and then the sage green and ecru rows finished. Now to start the roses.
